Elizabeth Wilkins, lmft associate
Elizabeth Wilkins, LMFT Associate, is a licensed marriage and family therapist associate who works as a psychotherapist and neurofeedback therapist at the Tarnow Center for Self-Management. Elizabeth received her Bachelor of Arts degree in history from Baylor University and her Master of Arts degree in family therapy from the University of Houston - Clear Lake.
Utilizing a relational and biopsychosocial approach, Elizabeth focused her graduate training on work with individuals, couples, and families affected by anxiety disorders and PTSD. She received her clinical training at both the University of Houston - Clear Lake's Psychological Services Clinic as well as Family Services of Greater Houston. In addition, she has experience working with children and adolescents in a variety of school settings.
Elizabeth has a particular interest in working with children, adolescents, and adults with anxiety disorders, and couples and families experiencing marital or relational difficulties. She is experienced in treating individuals affected by PTSD as well as veterans' families. Of special interest to Elizabeth is helping individuals, couples, and families navigate the relational changes that occur during and after undergoing neurofeedback therapy.
Elizabeth is a member of the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy, the Texas Association for Marriage and Family Therapy, the Houston Association for Marriage and Family Therapy, and the Biofeedback Society of Texas. She is a certified RELATE interpreter and was the recipient of the 2015 Military Veteran Peer Network Volunteer Award.
